NorthEast United FC recorded their very first victory against FC Goa before nearly 28,000 enthusiastic fans at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati on Tuesday evening. Goals in both half by Emiliano Alfaro was sufficient for Nelo Vingada’s men to ensure it is two victories out of two.
The guests began the match brightly and also forced NorthEast United FC’s Goal Keeper Subrata Paul into a save in the seventh minute after Raju Gaikwad got before his marker and headed an FC Goa corner by Trindade Goncalves goal-wards.
